Printing using gelatin plates was once a way to document plants, but now artists use this method to make interesting and colourful prints using not only plants but interesting objects pressed into the plate. The plate is made from very stiff gelatine or a commercial version which is now available.
Participants will make a large number of prints, and great effects can be obtained by layering with different materials and playing with positive and negative impressions. Lots of fun!
All materials, including paints, paper and plates will be supplied.
Cost: $35 per person. All welcome.
